Polk Group can assess whether material modifications should be made to your company's financial statements in order for them to conform to the Statements on Standards for Accounting and Review Services (SSARS). In this capacity our function is limited to compiling financial statements rather than making inquiries of management or analyzing procedures, so we express no opinion about the underlying financial information.
Growing your business requires insight into past and present finances. If you're ready for the technical expertise of a CPA but are not yet up to the work and expense of an audit, it might be time to engage Polk Group for a review. In this capacity we interview your company's management team and analyze your financial data, comparing one year to the next and explaining any unusual or unexpected variances from year to year. We then create financial statements that give management the ability to review the year to year performance of the company with a level of assurance greater than if the financial statements were prepared in-house. Since we are not required to study and evaluate your company's internal controls, verify data with third parties or physically inspect assets, this review delivers limited assurance but a level of assurance greater than if the financial statements were prepared by the company accounting staff.
